I'd go with ceramic coating. I had my tips powdercoated originally and they were gone after one hard driving session. The ceramic coating lasted.

Here is another example of the black ceramic "good to 1800 degress" I was talking with some of the tech guys at Champion and they were telling me that the tips on a TT reach up to 800 temps after a "good strong driving session" not sure if thats on a stock car or modded, but in any case thats pretty hot., and the powder as Atomic suggested never had a chance.

I am very direct and like to think I give accurate feedback. Here goes. my tips arrievd and were packed with care. Finish is amaing and looks just perfect, no drips, rough spots, nada... even the hardware was coated, everything moved freely and nothing was caked up....

I have not installed and will reserve comment on how they hold up, but if they hold up half as nice as they look now I can say this maybe one of my favorite mods per cost ever in many years of modding.... very nic work, mr993 is a great communicator, fast shipping, knowledgebale, reachable when needed..... so far asset to the forum... Thanks Buddy....

Now if they finish wears off in a season I may have another post to follow but have a feeling that won't be the case.... Thanks again, very satisfied customer here...

Ian, thank you. I don't recall the brand, the header was coated for Orbit Racing, I'll see if I can find out for you.

Well, I finally got down to my indie shop to and had the opportunity to see mr993's beautiful ceramic coating work on my headers. They look great! Had Bill Bento do them (they're Milltek Sport) in silver ceramic. Flawless! No drips, very smooth and Orrin Burns, who runs Eurosport, Ltd., in Englewood, CO also remarked on what a nice job Bill did. Thanks, mr993! Can hardly wait to get them on.
