Car and Driver Road Test 0-60 4.0 seconds, Q/M 12.6 113 mph. (Pretty much in the better range of major mag published 997S test #'s).

Highs: Stunning street presence, awesome exhaust note, brilliant dynamics.

Lows: Over-the-shoulder blind spot.

The Verdict: A beautifully realized example of the genre.

I'm surprised they are selling for 80K over MSRP here in LA.

99% of quickness is the driver. Of course a 911 driver would have it over a "audi" driver.

I think PSE is pretty much the heaviest option available, making you roughly the same weight as a non-PSE S. So I'm not 100% sure of your ability to bend the laws of physics.

Not sure what a S stock weighs but I am sure its more then my car. An other thing I can't figure out is why my reg states the cars weight is 2910 but Porsche claims its higher. Which is the right number.

Not sure what the S weighs but I am sure it is higher then the non S. One thing I can’t figure out is my registration states the car weighs 2910 but Porsche claims it’s higher, which one is right.

20 gallons of fuel is about 160 pounds more weight. Maybe the weight doesn't take into account fuel tank full or empty.

does it really matter? why are you going with your reg. rather than Porsche? this argument could go all year.

The standard Carrera is in my opinon underrated. At a track in Germany I tested a roling start against 4S with power kit. Ok, he had a passanger, but I got the better of him (track was dry), then he came to my door but couldn't get away. When straight wash finished, its long, I was still in front.

I would be nice to say that the driver did the differece, but not in this case.
