Need some help (vendor will not return calls)

After researching superchargers and reading everything I could (including some great info here), I told the people at the shop I use that I wanted the Evo unit. I called them this morning to find out when they were ready to start the install, and they told me that they can not even get anyone at EVO to return their call. This makes me a bit nervous about a vendor that will not even call back someone trying to buy an expensive product from them. I wonder what might happen if there was an issue with the unit.I own a company with over 500,000 customers all over the world, and if any of my employees did not call a customer back that wanted to place an order, they would no longer be my employee. I am looking for feedback from those who have dealt with them in the past, I am hoping this is not the way they do business all the time. Thanks

i would email them with return reciete, so you can see that the email was opened and they are there or call them yourself. Maybe the shop fat fingered or something. Leaving someone to do the work is where the ball gets dropped IMHO. i always go the extra mile to make sure all screws are tighten. Good luck.

I have had a phenomenal experience with EVO and with their supercharger. I will say two things. 1) they do get a little overwhelmed at times, so e-mail or call Todd who is the owner, and is a member on here. 2) the installer is critical. Even if you use the best shop in the world, if they have not done any or many of these installs, I would seriously consider shipping my car to someone who has (Imagine Auto in Kansas City did mine - the best!), or even to EVO themselves, and then let your shop service it after that.

The supercharger is unbelievable. It completely transforms your car, and the power is very linear. Like you, I looked at everything that was out there, and have been thrilled with my EVO purchase.

Ditto to MexicoBlue's comments:

EVO is a great company and stands by all their products. They only will sell the SC to a factory authorized shop that is qualified to do the install. I shipped my car to EVO for the install (from south Florida to Tempe Arizona) because a so called local "EVO dealer" was not qualified to do the intall.

I trust these guys, they pulled the engine from my 430 and got more power out of than Ferrari did, not to metion the other 40 or so cars I have owned they have worked on. Over the years I have done business with both Todd and Steve, and I admire their work, but no one touches my cars other than this shop.

1carnut...I am getting ready to buy a pre-owned EVOMS sc'd 997S. I respect your Porsche experience and would value feedback on what your research the setup.
I've had 993s, 3 of them, the current one being a 993 turbo, so I am not entirely without Porsche experience.
Thanks.
