Am I getting a good deal? Opinions needed

I have been in the market for a tip 997 C2S. I found a 2006 certified silver on black with 19400 miles and has the following options.

Tiptronic
Nav
Xenon
Sport chrono
Sport exhaust
3m clear bra
6 cd changer (not sure if it's an option)
Certified.

Asking price: 71,500

Please let me know your thoughts about the price.

Thanks

Not bad. I thought Xenon's were standard on the S. Seats leather or heated? Offer 65 and see what they counter at.

Their actual price was $76,000, but we negotiated it all the way to $71,500.
It has heated seats.

You'll get a lot of opinions on pricing here, but the bottom line is if the car is what you want color/options wise and its within your set price range...go for it.

Thanks for your responses. So far we are stuck on $71,000. We'll resume final negotiations tomorrow.

It's high . Low 80's would get you a new car with MSRP near 90 . I would not give them one cent over 65K for that car with those miles .

When you pull up to that dealership with a new(or used) car bought somewhere else they may not like it in that moment but they will respect you a lot more on their next opportunity to sell you a car .

If u like it and its what u want just buy it. Time is money and if you are always looking for a better deal it could cost u in the long run. If its an extra clean car whats a thousand bucks??

If "time is money" then the time spent on getting a good price on a car could save thousands spent on service as well as time .

Just because a person likes a car does not mean he ought to marry it . The new and used car market is a buffet of choices and before taking that 71 thousand dollar bite of commitment I think it's in his best interest to look at the other choices OR hold that dealership to a better deal .

He asked for an opinion --I gave mine .

I am in the car business and I would much rather have the car I want in great condition, than a "great deal" with issues. I can respect your opinion and all I gave was mine.

He could have a new car with ZERO miles for about 15% more than he's ready to pay for this used car (two years old with almost 20K miles ) .
Even in great condition it faces routine wear maintenance and has TWO years less warranty . Now I understand that the CPO offers warranty but there ARE differences in coverage PLUS imbedded into that price is the CPO .

I would be the first to wish him well with any car --even this one .

I also agree with you on a "great " price not always being the best deal BUT I feel he could do better than this .

If he came to ask opinions I would not blame him for having doubts at this price level . He has nothing to lose at all by calling a few dealerships before making final choice.

Look around that doesnt sound to good IMHO. Recently my friend got into a 997 c2s. One bought a new 2007 with all your options, but his is stick and has Sport wheels for $83 OTD. This was Pacific Porsche in Torrance CA they needed to get rid of the 07's. I know they had alot more left. 10K more your in a Virgin
