*Premier Protective Films* does it again = )

Just had the guys from Premier Protective Films down from Fremont, California to do a custom fitted clear bra on the front bumper of my 997S. Once again, all i can say is absolutely spectacular.

For those of you that don't know the product, the film works like the factory sticker/film on the lower side panels of the 997. It is plastic, and protects parts of your car from rock chips, scratches and sunlight. The difference between Premier and your run of the mill clear bra from the dealer/bodyshop is that this wraps under the hood, headlights, fenders and underneath making it 99% invisible to the eye and without seams. Some people have gone as far as wrapping their entire CarreraGT, Veyron, Lambos and other exotics. For the rest of us, front bumper, hood, headlights and fogs are plenty = )

The cost of the procedure is about 100 bucks more per panel than "pre-cut" clear bras. My front bumper cost me $590. The difference is obviously the labor, but for the customer, it's the difference between seeing a stupid line across the hood, or lines 3mm from all edges, rather than something that wraps completely over it. I highly recommend the custom fitted versus the pre-cut version.

Originally, they did the same custom film on my E60 M5. After selling the M5 and buying the 997S, their name immediately popped into my head and I wanted them down ASAP to do work on the 997. They do trips every 2-3 months down in the Southern California areas. If you're down in Southern California, I'd recommend getting in touch with them sooner than later to schedule it because you don't want to miss out on their next trip. I know tentatively they're looking to make another trip down here early May of this year.

I'm in no ways affiliated with the company, owners or anyone working there but I would 100% vouch for their work as this is the second time they worked on my car with great results. Having personally used their service, I would recommend them to anyone who's very particular about their cars or if you feel the pain in your gut every time your hear a loud peck from a rock hitting your car. I still wash and wax right over the film to give it a nice shine/reflection. Feel free to let them know you're coming from 6speed. I told them that i'm also from the board and know at least a grip of people that might be interested.

Their contact information can be found on their website here:

so u only did bumper? 590 is pretty good price for custom wrap! IMO, custom wrap on hood is the most important to eliminate a lne on the hood.

daytonaviolet: yup, in fact sam and his crew came by this morning at 8 and left at around 10:30ish.

the $590 was for the standard 997S front bumper, he said the GT3 front would be a little bit more because of the degree of difficulty. I didn't get the hood done, but seeing how great it turned out, i kinda want to : ( ****

Sammy and the crew at Premier are the best in the business! They did a great job in covering my Ruf Front bumper (totally custom job) and I'm in the process of getting a repaint soon so they can cover the rest of the front. My sideskirts and rocker panel/rear fender hips are also clear bra'd, so I have a lot of peace of mind when driving through the freeways

Thumbs up

Yes, another happy customer here.

I had Premier wrapped the front 1/3 of my car about one year ago, and as of today the film is still perfect. Best money spent on my car, consider how much debris is on the road nowadays.

Below is a picture of my car at last year, right after Premier installed the film on it. Pretty much everything from the side mirrors foward is wrapped, perfect job.

With best regards,
- Alex.
