Regular VS. Adaptives ?
raja
After much debate, I'm going with the non-adaptive sport seats.
My wife can't drive stick shift so I'm the only one who will drive the car. As such, the memory function would largely go to waste for me.
Moreover, I find the sport seats fit me like the proverbial glove and since I'm not expecting to track the car the ability to move the bolsters in and out would also largely go to waste.
Finally, I think I'm going to put the $ difference into a proper Ipod integration and a clear bra.

Too late... she's gone.
No room in the garage for both and my wife is already questioning my sanity with three cars... four cars would simply be too much.

Even if you're the only one driving, seat memory will serve you well if you ever get your car detailed. My car always comes back with the seat in about the most wrong possible position and I have to manually put it back to where I want it but I can never remember how I had it before. Its frustrating
Thanks for the clarifying this, I didn't realize that the tip's were available in the Launch cars.

I usually wash the cars myself and my detailer is a real car guy. He will move the mirrors, if necessary, but only slides the seat back and forth.
A good detailer is worth a whole lot.
Plus, IMO, power seats and memory seats are more weight and something else that could possibly break. K.I.S.S. has always worked for me.
But honestly, if my wife were also going to drive the car I would have ponied up for the adaptive sport seats.
can you put adaptic seats in a 997 with regular seats..something about the electrical connectors...anyone know?
as i am interested in trading my adaptives out (got gt3 seats) but don't know if the other tradee would be able to use my seats....

I have heated/power regular seats in my car, and was looking at swapping them out for Adaptive Sport seats. From what I can tell, the connectors are all compatible and the swap can be made. I just haven't done it (yet).

Ed: Are the non power sport seats really adaptive? Can the bolsters be adjusted like in the ***?
