Regular VS. Adaptives ?
do the Adaptive Sport Seats (***), I have had both and with out a doubt the *** are much better and well worth the extra $. I would have the non power sports seats before the basic power seats.
Sport Seats
I would get Sport Seats, it's basically the Adaptive Sport Seats without the electric gizmos and cost alot cheaper.
Thats all if money is an issue, if not go all the way.
Enjoy the Seats

I've had both --like the regular but LOVE the adaptives .
I'm also 5'9" . Some posters have mentioned that the sides squeeze them but I'm only 148 lbs so I'm guessing you'd have to be 200+ before it poses a comfort concern.
I second "sport shift".

Adaptives have more side bolster (upper & lower) to keep you in place during 'aggressive' driving. During long hwy trips regular sport seats are probably better since they let you change body positions to avoid fatigue.
Entering/existing is also a little more difficult w/ adaptive seats unless you don't care about rubbing the leather covering the larger bolster. I've seen adaptive seats w/ accelerated wear in the upper outboard bolster due to driver entry techniques.
With that said I have power sport seats in my 997S but would rather have adaptives because I personally like the 'planted feel'.
Bottom Line . . . . . Both seats are very nice shouldn't impact your buying decision if thats the only variable.

I thought that all Launch Cars had ***
TIP - Power Sport Seats
6 spd - Power Adaptive Sport seats
Everything else is exactly the same. The original MRSP for the TIP equipped Launch car was a few hundred dollars more due to the differences. TIP offset the differential between sport and adaptive seats.
