06 are not Launch Cars. Only the original 05's that each dealer was given as a display model by PCNA, and then allowed to sell once other cars started to arrive.

Thanks everyone for clarifying the "Launch Edition" for us newbies..

I believe the car I was looking at is still for sale, although when I checked thier inventory on thier website recently... they have raised the price from 65,500 to 71,900 (shady imo)... But I have backed out of the deal at 65.5 because I need to sell my car first. I have no idea if they will honor thier 65.5 price or not but PM me if u want dealer info, and include email or some sort of contact.. i dont think i can send pms yet becaue of the 15post limit.

I paid about 72 last year about this time for a launch car with 6k miles. I say if you like the car and it passes the sniff test then buy it. I can assure you by the time you write the check and make your drive home you will be done worrying if you could have saved 3k on a "better deal".

...to add another factor into this convo, what does the factory aero kit (gt3 like) do to the value of a CPOed 997s? I know that its a pricey option from the factory...

Thanks!

I've never known any car with an aero kit to command a significant price over the black book. Buyers treat these things as a bonus and that's why dealers often take off hot rims and put stockers back on to milk out a few more dollars than if they left them on.
