OIL CONSUMPTION TRACK DAY and white smoke

wanted to know the consensus..i am a bit concerned that on track days (125-200 hard miles) consume a qt of oil on my 997s...

have GIAC software and evo intake...

also noted recently that after track day a bit of white puffy smoke comes out of the tail pipes for a COUPLE of minutes..(worried about head gasket) .after back on the highway goes away..had the engine checked at the dealership and they said no prob...

wondering if anyone else had this..i had another carrera s that i tracked a lot without the GIAC and evo and never any smoke....?

do i need to worry?

thanks

mk

I had this same problem and had it checked out by two dealerships... they said the car was fine and it happened because it sat for a while and then I ran it hard on the track...

I have seen many new 997/987 smoke on the track without serious consequences. Its oil goin through the rings which have not seat correctly yet, but not to worry...

now if you have this amount of smoke, then worry...

blown six

Wouldn't burning oil be more blue in color than white?
