do you realize that an 05' supercharged carrera will stomp a stock carrera s. And you are saying they have similar mileage. If you are looking for performance which I assume you are the choice is clear.

A supercharger may face a few reliability issues too as it's enough HP to dramatically change the car's driving dynamics . I don't know enough to say whethera stock axle might not break or a clutch may end up slipping placing this much into a base car .

My feeling about tuning is to enhance what's already there without changing the internals but with a big jump the mods have to accompany it .

I totally agree with Fastlane here. Unless someone can tell me differently, my goal behind the base C2 supercharged was to build a car for about the same $ as the next step up, "S" , but have it just running circles around it from a performance aspect. I don't disagree with all of you S owners who say that the S is the way to go, more care for the money, but when you can purchase a base C2 this low and then do these types of mods to it, it just seems to make more since to lean more towards the base C2.

I believe their are enough supercharged 997 owners on here that can diffuse the idea of problems. Not that things can't or won't happen, but I think the EVOM supercharger has been worked over long enough that it is a pretty safe bet for making the big jump.

I've got to go with yrralis on this one...if the cars drivetrain was not designed to handle that much power in the first place there could be some problems, especially way down the road.
