PSE question

Hy guys,i made some time ago the modification to make my pse loud by disconecting the brown plug and today i tried to but it back to have some silence for a time and noticed that they won t go quiet. I think the heat made the metal stick and now it does n return to default. Could you please send a picture to see where i could put some lube or wd40 cause i can see it under the car or tell me how to fix thys. I know that i read that i should put the plug back from time to time to avoid thys but it wasn t soon enought. Please help..... Thanks a lot

Bring it to your dealer and tell them you don't hear a difference between the sport and regular setting.

Please report back and let us know what the source of the problem was.

I don't think there is anything you can lubricate.
The valves are activated by the cars vacuum system and are in a normally open position when the car is turned off .
Perhaps they are stuck due to the crud buildup in the exhaust , because they were not cycled open/closed for a long time and now the cars vacuum pressure is not enough to overcome the friction .

Per factory design, the valves always OPEN automatically each time the engine is shut off , then CLOSE as soon as the car is started and stay closed until the PSE switch ( or Sport Chrono ) is activated.
That's why it's not a problem if you DONT use the PSE for a long time .

If you listened, you probably will have noticed that even with the PSE off, for the first second when you start the car , it's a little loud (until the vacuum builds up and closes the valves)

You may want to try this:

First, reconnect the plug and check if all vacuum hoses are connected properly.
If everything is OK, each time AFTER you start the engine , turn the PSE switch ON.
When driving, especially when the exhaust is still cold and while heating up, periodically step on the gas agressively at speeds below 50 mph ( that normally cycles the valves open/closed per factory setup )
Try that for a few days and maybe they will loosen themselves .

If that does not work:
First, DELETE your post ( never leave a paper trail ) Lol
Then bring it back to the dealer and tell them that the PSE valves are crap and need fixing .
