I'm sure he's an honest person if he's a porsche driver

I doubt he will bring cash but like others said wire transfer is best

I guess it is the dealers responsibility to assure the cashier check is legit but if it turned out to be fake I bet the dealer would come looking for me. I am still very nervous about this transaction but it will probably be ok.
If a BMW dealership is handling the transaction you will be ok . You bought a BMW ? Which?

I bought my Porsche on a private deal using a cashiers check that the seller watched me get from my bank (he met me there to get the check and deliver the car). I did the same with a truck I sold a year ago. I sold a MBZ while away from town 2 years ago. I had the purchase wire the money to my bank. I had the bank notify me when the funds showed up in my account, and then called my neighbor to give the keys to the purchaser. I like the wire transfer method the best, as long as you get confirmation of the transaction before you hand over the car.

I sold my Audi S4 to a guy from edmenton canada or something like that. He flew down and I took him to my bank with the cashiers check and had the bank verify the funds to be doubly sure. They cashed it right there and I got my money and he was off. He was a good guy, one hell of a haggler but a good guy none the less.

Canadian's are notoriously cheap, we are forced to become hagglers to fulfill the desire to be cheap. BTW it is spelled Edmonton.

Autotrader.com. I have had mixed emotions about the sale. Went to the garage and sat in her tonight. Will give her up tomorrow.

The dealer has a bank that can accept wire transfers, I'm sure. Wires are the safest way to go.
