I'm really beginning to like it more and more. So far I haven't been able to get a dealer to sell me one @ MSRP.

The car is available in Hong Kong at HKD1,200,000 (depends on option +/-) which equals to USD153,850- My friend has the very first one, he has a F430 and test drove F430 Scuderia. His comment is
'I just try the R35 GT-R on yesterday,no complain,it was fxxking FAST,should beat the 997 TURBO / F430 / GALLARDO for 0-200km/h range easily..maybe lose to 599 / GT-2 from 200 to 300km/h.
Gearbox response are fast, very similar to 599 / 430 SCUDERIA level.
Supension and brake are good enough.
Steering feel is a bit JP feel,a bit light.'
When will it come to US ?

Seems like a beast but it just doesn't look right on the track???

Looks more like a 350z crossed with a Chevy Malibu...

I agree in the looks department it does nothing for me. Hard to beat the classic design of a 911.

to me the numbers are impressive but not enough to get past the ugliness.

Yep, when the Japs design something on their own they come up looking like ****, but when they copy somebody else design (which is usually the case) is another story.

I am not believing the hype......anyone wonder why they did not talk about tires or why a Nissan driver was used?

I am sure it is a great car but, lets be real the article is a glorified advertisement, IMHO.

hmmmmmnot sure I agree

I have researched the GTR to death, believe the hype, it beats the porsche (s, turbo even the GT3 some say) on and off the track performance speaking... the ugliest part of this car is its interior IMO. I have seen a few in person at the shows and the car in person looks good in its own way..... whats crasy is, this GTR has back seats, not like 911 back seats made for dwarfs and elves but real back seats.... I own a 997 so no porsche hater here....the GTR is a beast, absolute animal.... and it will do the entire industry justice and give those car makers asleep at the wheel a swift kick in the ****.

People hated the neon srt (hold your laughter all) but the car stock never mind stage I, II or III from the factory rips and for under 25K range....it was walking all over cars costing so much more $. No one wants to get beat by a neon, I don't care how nice your car drives, what heritage it comes from... just doesn't feel good.

The cherokee srt8 running down a 100K+ turbo Cayenne.... awesome IMO, pushing the envelope. When a car like the GTR hits the scene personally I love it! Hate its looks, don't believe the hype, its OK, but love what it does for the auto industry....

Agreed. The GTR now forces Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, etc. to really up their up game with perfomance of future models.

You are right, Porsche should take out the tricks they had researched/hiding - time to get serious ! No more tiptronics, time for DSG 2 & more power
