Joining the Club (again!)
Hi Guys. I just wrote a pretty long (5 paragraph) and entertaining (I tried to be funny) introduction and explanation as to why I was posting here and when it came time to "submit", the system froze and I lost my entire thread!!!
I'm so bummed out about the disappearance of that thread I just wrote but here's the re-cap: I lurked here for months while I waited for my 06 997S to ship. I took delivery and was over my head in love for 2 months but then something strange began to happen- I found myself driving the 997S less and less, sometimes choosing my RS6 for weeks at a time over the Porsche...
I realized I had a problem so I sold the RS6 and fell back in love with the 997S... That is, until we had our first Chicago snow storm. I knew I had overlooked something when I sent the RS6 off and that something came crashing back to me, snow performance!!! I needed something that I could depend on year round, so I traded the 997S for a Range Rover.
18 months later, I can fully admit that NEEEEEEEED another Porsche. I yearn for the sound of the engine at 7,000 RPM among many, many other things. As such, I think I've found a replacement and could really use your collective help with my offer / sale price. Here are the vitals:
2006 997S
Metallic Black w/ beige full leather
5600 miles
Sports Chrono
Nav
Standard Power Seats
19" Carrera Sport Wheels-Chrome (I don't care for these at all but would replace asap)
Exceptionally clean
Built-in Belltronic Radar
Being sold at a Lambo dealer
Asking $68,900.
All said, it's a great set-up that I could learn to live with. My #1 combo would be my prior Seal Gray w/ Black Int, Chrono, Nav, PSE set-up but I'm not having much luck finding one. What would you guys consider the right market value / purchase price on this set-up? Any and all help is much appreciated.!
Kevin

the price sounds right, however i am not a fan of spending any amount of money, let alone thousands and then feeling like i have to "live with or lear to love" something. My point is if you havent found what u absolutely want, wait, it will come around soon.
Me personally, i dont like tan interiors, all my cars have black interiors, personal pref, therefore i would not settle...look on this forum and call all the dealers in your area, u will find what ur looking for

Good advice.
I agree, love it or leave it! Don't settle for almost the car that you want, you obviously have enough money to spend a few dollars more
to get the right car. The price sounds good though.

Seal Grey -- Not far back a guy had one for sale on this forum .
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ight=seal+grey
I also suggest waiting for the exact car because you can . Time is on your side because each day that you wait the price of the 06 gets better .
The car you discuss does have some positive things being that it's nicely equipped and has low miles. Color choice is a personal decision .
Check the rear tires for wear and tear.
Given that you :
1) want to replace the wheels
2) Arent dazzled by the color
You can offer very low . Tell them that your mixed sentiment would allow you to walk unless they made the deal that great for you.
63K firm and see if they bite . Otherwise keep looking.
