Unbelievable Experience at a Dealer Today
Not true . Walk into a bar and look at the big guy wearing the shirt that says "BOUNCER" hired to remove paying cutomers who mistreat the staff .
this Jon guys sounds like a ******bag....so I can't really blame this sales guy for trying to protect the reputation of his dealership.
I have close friends who work in the high end automobile industry, and trust me, just because you may be knowledgeable about cars, doesn't mean you can disrespect people or be an *******. Unfortunately, the percentage of people who act this way grows somewhat proportionally with income.
It amazes me how many people on this forum have responded about how this sales guy should not be posting about "jon"...meanwhile, this guy can freely post about whatever he wants....that's pretty pathetic. This is a forum, so just because you own a Porsche doesn't entitle you to some status protection......what a joke.
Do your salespeople a favor the next time you are at your local Porsche or Ferrari dealer and don't have any intention of buying...just say you are "tire kicking" and they will know what you mean and respect you for it and you'll likely see that they will be happy to just "talk" cars with you instead of putting on a song and dance for someone who isn't going to buy. Or the really good sales people will actually sell you on something....either way, respect is something earned not owed....people with the attitude of "the customer is always right" should all be given a dose of their own medicine..it would make the world a better place.

"Crazydavepops" is a solid guy. Newport Porsche has always been reasonable in my experience.
A business should reserve the right to choose its clients. Likewise a client can always vote with their feet. It's a free country.

The OP thread should be deleted. Dealership did not do anything wrong as the OP sounds like the ultimate tire kicker. They called him on it and it hurt his feelings and he's now crying about it on the internet trying to defame the dealer. This is not fair to all involved at the dealership. Would anyone want this type of customer in our own professions whatever they are? Probably not.
I'll take him...I'm a proctologist (a$$man)...care for a test drive?
I run my own business, and if Jon is as you say, then he is a Royal PIA. I don't however flat out ignore my clients, or even treat them less then the other customers. If the client is one that we would rather not deal with then we use the polite F**K OFF, we simply inflate the price so the client doesn't want to deal with us because we are too expensive, so they go away. We have had a few clients that felt our price was fine and worked with us, and the extra that we charged made up for any of the suffering that we had to deal with.
I'm reluctant to post 'cause this is way out of proportion, but what the hell. I've bought a couple cars from "crazydave" and he's a good guy. Remember he isn't the one who had the confrontation, just stickin' up for his homies. Being in Newport Beach, I'm sure this dealership has it's fair share of locals who just walk in and buy whatever strikes them at the moment so the PIA's stick out even more. Not an excuse for rude behavior on either side, just a call for calm. I have had issues there and I must say management has stepped up to do what's right and stood by me even against PCNA. They sell expensive cars in an expensive neighborhood so some attitude may unfortunately creep in on EVERYBODY'S part but, if you are one of their customers, my experience is that they will take good care of you. Fire away.
I visited my dealership no less than 5 times before I bought, just to see inventory changes and check out the other cool turbos and GT3's. I knew I wanted one, so did the salesman, but we both had to wait for the time to be right for me, not for him.

I've dealt with Newport Porsche. Pretty rude dealership in my opinion. Not everyone is going to go in the dealership and write a check when they see a color they like. It seems to me that the salesman in that dealership wants to get the easy, "quick" sale rather then actually valuing customer service and working for their dollar.
My father and I have walked into Newport Porsche wanting to buy the car they had and walked out almost immediately after the BS lines they gave.
My father bought his supposedly "high demand" Cayenne Turbo S at a discount of 14 and change at Downtown LA Porsche when Newport wouldn't even budge. Not a single DOLLAR! And I went to Pacific Porsche and bought my second car from them for a respectable discount after being told that "all 911's in Southern California is selling at MSRP."
Class act.
And now there is that time when they ran my first porsche into the corner of a light pole when it didn't even have its plates yet but that's another story....

That is some funny $hit!

, still laughing. As for the dealership, it sucks that sometimes you get people like this, but starting this post was def not a good idea.

I've always found service people to be more apt to be helpful when they're treated well and with respect. This isn't a commentary on the OP, but merely my SOP that more times than not has positive results.
Like LeNoah, I've bought 3 cars from them and have been very satsified. In all my years with buying cars, this is the only dealership that has repeatedly thrown me the keys and allowed me to take-off on test drives by myself! Just another side to the story. No affiliation.
