I agree, it isn't as pretty although I don't stick mine in the center of the windshield like some people do, which I've never understood. Next the A pillar is less intrusive and allows tucking the wire out of the way. And it is portable, which can be useful if you rent cars.

D_Whaler - I also live in the Houston area (Magnolia) and had my NAV installed at Porsche of North Houston. Now that they have learned on mine, your should be a snap.
