Adaptive Seats In A Non-Adaptive Seat Car?

One option that I really wanted when I bought my car was the Adaptive Seats. But unfortunately, my car came with the supple leather power seats. It is a late 05 997s cab. The question I have is, if I find some black adaptives for sale, will they work with all functions in my car? Is any necessary wiring needed for the adaptive part to work? I have found a pair, but just wanted to make sure they would work before purchasing. Thanks.

I went through the same issue earlier this year when I wanted to convert the power heated seats on my 05 C2S Cab to A.S.S. From the research I did it appeared that the A.S.S. are compatible with the power connectors on your car. The A.S.S. have more adjustments, but it appears they take their power from the same source so the connectors aren't different. However, I never got as far as trying a set to make sure. The mounting hardware (4 bolts) does appear 100% the same.

I have had the power seats and the ***, and without a doubt the *** are worth the money to upgrade. I think that Ken is right that it is a direct connection. If you find a set, buy them, they are great seats.

Adaptive Seats In A Non-Adaptive Seat Car?

What about fitting them to a 2001 Carrera Coupé with standard power seats? Will they fit as far as the electrical wiring harness is concerned? I am sure they will screw onto the existing car's holes but, what about as far as the electrics... are the connectors the same in this car too???

I would be doubtful of compatibility with a 996, but suggest you ask dealer.

I think the 997 and 996 mounting points are the same, as for power, I am sure some whiz could figure it out. But I agree ask a dealer before you spend a chunk of money to get them.
