I call what you describe "bonding with the car" . You learn it , it breaks in to your driving style.

I do go though this with cars but in my case recently I keep modding my Turbo so it extends the process .

Did a 300 mile trip yesterday with about half of those in nice corkscrews on very tight mountain roads.

I am seeing more and more of the car breaking in to my driving style, or should I say pushing the bumper of the Turbo in front of me through the mountains.....................

Man, can you do some fancy moves with these cars!!

must have been a person with big feet who invented the heel/toe technique. I cant seem to get the right leverage on the gas pedal with my "average" size feet.

just keep practicing. brake with your toe and roll your heel. you will eventually be able to do it with dress shoes at will.
