service light?

i just received a msg on the ecu that i need to service my car in 30 day. i've owned the car for about 6 months and it has about 5,000 miles on it.

i had planned on getting the oil changed at 7,500 and then at 15,000 and then bringing it into service at 20,000. am i right on this logic or do i need to service at 10,000? if so do I ignore the warning or is there a way to reset it?

My local dealer wanted $1200 for the 20k mile service. Advice on here is that’s a little high.
I paid the local dealer $65 to turn the “service now” light off.
We have a local Porsche non-dealer shop, I haven’t checked them about the cost for a 20k mile service. Opinion on here is 20k service is an oil change and a “look-over” of the car.
My 05 997 has 20,300 miles... still pondering.
