Coil-over install DIY? any links or pics?

So I need to take my Bilstein coil-overs off the 997 and put the stockers back on since I am trading the car in. I had a shop install them as well as do an alignment and corner-balance ($$$), but I am thinking I can take them out myself as I have installed 5 sets of coil-overs before on various cars myself. Any links or pics of a DIY for this? Thanks again.

Jay,

Here are instructions on how to replace the stock suspension: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=7073

And this is what I used to install the PSS9 damptronics so just go reverse order(very similar even though this is installation on the Cayman): http://www.caymanclub.net/reviews/sh...ct=124&cat=all

Photos for the PSS9 installation here: http://www.caymanclub.net/gallery/br...ages.php?c=237

Thanks for the links. How long did the install take you? Any more difficult than other installations you may have done in the past? I am assuming I have to remove the stock top mounts from the bilstein coil-overs and put them back onto the stock strut assembly...is this difficult? In the past all coil-overs I used had their own top mounts...so the coil-overs were fully assembled.

It is not too difficult. If you have done other coilover installs you should have no problem. You do need to use the stock shock mounts as well as the stock washers which have a groove in them (the gold colored ones). The only hard part may be getting the top nut back on because you have to compress the spring while doing so. I did the fronts in about 4 hours one day and the rears in about 5 hours another day.
