This info is unfortunately always getting buried in the threads.
This is the link to download the Softronic software that will read and write to your car. Please download and install this.
Next after software install:
1. Plug in the cable to the USB and let the computer install it automatically. Should it ask if you want to, say yes and allow it. THIS HAS to be done just after the software is installed and before the program is run.
2.Plug the cable into the OBD2 port or also known as the diagnostic port.
3.Turn on the key.
4. Launch the software and after it reads and when you get to the "Comments " fill in if you want Sport mode, what year, model and trans you car has, manual or auto, name and email address.
5. The file will then upload.
6. Turn Off the key and unplug the cable, you may use the car until you receive the new files to tune.
6. I will then send you your files within 24 hrs or your tuner.
Should you not see a "Next" button at the bottom of the screen you will have to change the DPI from 120 to 96 or Normal

The instructions are a little confusing.

Mr B, I got my cable but no instructions.
Saw another post with some instructions and downloaded the Flash Client for Porsche. However I had to download something called .Net Framework 2.0.50727. This was a message I got in a pop up screen. I went to Microsoft to try and find this and I found.Net FX 2.0.5PL.x86.exe and I think I got it right but then I got a pop up screen saying there is an error and unable to load DLL DuraD2.dll HELP!!!!!
Anyway off to the garage to see what happens!

OK well I think I got it. I was pretty simple and everything seemed to load just fine.
Scott, I screwed up the 1st time in my comments and did not include my name address email phone number and so forth. So I went back in and re-loaded the file and resent the comments. This was at 11:20 tonight.

I want the Sport and PASM buttons to work like stock so I can turn these features on and off as needed. I am looking of more power especially fron 3800rpm on up since I track my car a lot. I still use it as a weekly driver too. If there is anything to program the Tiptronic to shift faster that would be awesome.

OK guys I do not think we all have to multi post across all the boards for a question or step, just email me. 
This has been done hundreds of times without any problems. I think some of you are getting the Durametric install confused with the Softronic. These are both entirely different softwares.

OK Got the zip file and down loaded it to the car. Super simple and everything works. It only took 5minutes for my file. I only got to take the car around the neighborhood and out to the main road. I will be at the track this weekend.

Nope I just saved it to my desk top on my 3 year old Dell laptop and followed the simple instructions. From booting up my lap top, pluging in the battery charger, pluging in the Softronic cable and running the Zip file it took about 10min total. Super simple and easy.
I drove the car out of my neighborhood and down the main road a few miles and back. I could not get over 65-70mph and really could not get on the car and really check it out. However there is more pep in the midrange from 4k and up. The car runs very smooth and no dead spots in the rpm range anymore. Sport and PASM functions just like stock and everything worked perfectly.
I will have a full report after my 2 day track event at Sebring this weekend. I will have 7 hours of available track time in 2 days!
