What mods did you do to the 3.6L in a standard Carrera?
just the PSE and sport chrono, the car is light I ordered it with no extra's my reg says it weighs 2910 most people on the forum say that can't be true ,Maybe it is?Originally Posted by mdrums
12.8 is very fast for a stock 997. Most magazines and shows I have seen have a S version doing the 1/4 mile in 12.8-13.0. The Turbo does the 1/4 in 12.5.What mods did you do to the 3.6L in a standard Carrera?

Something seems off...Porsche say's a Carrera weights 3075 to 3296lbs with the manual transmission depending on options. This is a dry weight no fluids. All the car mags claim the S version does the 1/4 mile around 12.8 to 13. Your lower powered standard Carrera did it in 12.8? Well that is the time you got so congrats on a great car and great driving!Originally Posted by LarryP

maybe the car with out gas weighed 2910,I can't explain it other then the moon must have been aligned right that night. My second run was 13.0 even with a faster mph at the end. It's all in the first 60 feet it stuck.
Oh you have a standard carrera, that makes sense

I tell you I think I can go faster I just need to lower the pressure in the rear tires, warm up the tires and when in 3rd get out to 4th around 5500 rpm's

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a 996 Turbo Cab, and that's mediocre for even that car.

Agreed. I wonder what the C2S's are doing at the track? Originally Posted by ZEMDOGG
