I went for my first time to a drag strip in New Jersey and it was a great experience especially the first run. My first and best run was 12.867 I was shocked .I also felt I could have taken off better if I had more experience and gotten a better time. Anybody out there with a stock 997 able to get to 12.5 . That’s my goal for the next time out.
P.S. I beat a 335i twice look at the ticket he was in the left lane.

 

Nice 60ft. time..that's where your ET came from...Bridge Town has a great track. I think Lee Rutter ran a 12.74 in a bone stock E46 M3 there, he pulled a 1.74 60 ft.time.

raceway park,Englishtown really nice track well run.Honestly I got lucky first run ever my second run was a 13.0 ,My 3rd run was when the sun went down and the track got cold I spun my tires through 3 gears .I need more practice

 

12.8 is impressive...a little quicker than I thought.

wow, a 1.8 60 is very decent, what happend after you passed the 1/8; You should have have been well into the mid 12's
I got a 2.1 60 cause of ****ty tires and still managed a 12.77 and a 111 trap.

 

12.8 is very fast for a stock 997. Most magazines and shows I have seen have a S version doing the 1/4 mile in 12.8-13.0. The Turbo does the 1/4 in 12.5.

What mods did you do to the 3.6L in a standard Carrera?
