Finally test drove the 997 S on THursday. I was very impressed. THe sports seats were the most comfortable I have ever sat in. The interior is a big improvement as is the overall fit and finish of the car. The exterior while nice does fall short.

It was a real pleasure to drive.

If I were just using my 996TT as a daily driver for transportation I would be tempted to get the 997S for the added refinement and overall smoothness.

But for the low miles I drive, I am willing to sacrifice that for the much hotter design of the TT not to mention the incredible boost/torque..

I am excited that the new Boxster is based on the 997 and I am a likely candidate for it when it comes out.

I have preferred Boxsters over 911 cabs since they have come out. I think they are must more bang for the buck and are lighter and more nimble than a 911 cab (996 and greater particularily).

Overall, very impressed with the 997. The 997 Turbo will be a sure major winner!

Mark
