Autotech (VW Tuner) in Aliso Viejo used to be an importer for Quaife. Not sure anymore but wouldn't hurt to call and ask them.

Last time I checked Vivid Racing carries the Quaife diffy. It's around $1600 and some change and I believe they are a sponsor on this board..ahh, here we go.

That's where I got mine. Dan has them in stock. The race shop got it in 2 days. Can't ask for more than that. He's great to deal with too, plus a 6speeder. I suggest him.

My dealer just checked on this for me, and he said P17 does include the LSD. Option 220 is only if you want LSD without the lowered suspension.

If that is true, shouldn't you see a conflict in the order guide so it prevents someone from ordering P17 AND 220? Currently, it appears you can order both.

Can someone else verify this please?

Thanks,

The order guide does not show it as a conflict....I think this is a mistake. The only conflict shown is 475 (PASM) and P17 (sport PASM with LSD).

My dealer was nice enough to check this for me again, and he says they called Porsche to make sure. According to him, P17 includes the LSD and the guide is wrong. Interestingly, the order system will let you order both, but he assures me Porsche says it's a mistake - P17 and 220 should conflict.

Has anyone else heard differently from Porsche? LSD is an absolute must-have for me, and I'd hate for my order to be wrong.

My thoughts exactly. I'd be so pissed if I ordered P17 and it didn't come with 220. Can anyone else check?

One of the best mods you can do IMO. Great to hear that its going to be an option in 09.
Anybody who knows how this will work together with the E-diff - I mean will the computer still try to activate the brakes or will the LSD take over the job?

The LSD will first get a chance to do its job as well as possible. The eDiff will continue to step in and apply brakes if the LSD can't keep the car under control. Or you can turn PSM off.

Thanx cbzzoom - that makes sense. Do you know how many work shop man hours I must calculate with? Right now I can get the diff brand new, but at a good price, but the seller does not have experience in doing this kind of job. So I guess I must look for a Porsche racing work shop (which is quite rare here in Sweden.
