In case you weren't aware, the 08 Targas have a heavier sunshade than the 07 and the 996 Targas. The part number for the 07 is a 996 number, which has now been superceded by the 08 997 number. I'm thinking of ordering a new sunshade, as I find the 07 shade lets in too much light.

Does anyone have any experience replacing the sunshade? It shouldn't be too difficult, but like most things, it likely helps to know some of the tricks to avoid problems. I'll also check with my dealer to see if they can provide an estimate for replacement of the shade.
