EVO MS supercharge kit

Hi guys
my gf just brought me a Porsche mazagine from UK. i saw EVO MS has a supercharge kit for 997s but i cant find them on EVO web site
does anyone know about them?

the RUF supercharger kit is kind of pricy
which around $28k installed
the UK price for EVO kit is $8k with 17.5% VAT so its about
$6.8k pound without tax = $13.6k sounds like more affordable deal

I think the VF/Evo kit makes more power then the RUF kit as well as being a better deal.

thanks guys
thats the one i saw!! sounds pretty good performance gain and affordable price! with $12000 price for parts and maybe $1000-1500 for labour to put them on then you get 996TT performance and 997 interior & durablility

i just recently had a run with brand new C63 AMG
we ran about side by side from 60-140 but he took me off from high end speed (over 140-160km/hr around 90-100mph) i lose him a bit from exchange highway rap due to his poor handling but soon he catch up
so make me think the 997s N/A leaks its high end speed due to its low HP
(compare to C63) we may fight it back with our light weight and handling power but its really nothing we can do on open highway!

does there anybody try those supercharged kit yet?

I'm getting one. should be done in a couple of days. Vf is working on an update to there kit. The stage 2 version is going to make more power. As soon as I get the numbers i'll let everyone know. They're using my car to prototype the new kit. Smaller pulley, more boost and new Ecu flash. Definitely worth waiting for the new kit.

wow Stage two!! so how much will cost you to install the kit? since i am not living in US
can i ask my local shop to put them on?

the test result on their web site is for 3.6 997. Does it make more power gain on 3.8 997s?
so what kind power gain will you expect from new stage 2 kit ?
i will be looking forward to see your result !! please let us all know about it

Not to sound like an old lady or a cop, but WTF are you racing on the streets for? I suggest you invite the MB C63 to Mission and see what he can really do. You will hand him his ***!

BTW the 997 is not a lightweight car by any stretch!

north van c2s
oh well i am not race him like crazy nut and pass cars at all just hit it on the stright open highway and we both stop go faster around 180 i think .... dont tell me you never drive your car over 120km which is highest max speed limit (110km) in great vancouver....
if you really do then you should just get a GT3 RSR and only run your car in track not a Carrera S

if you call 3250lb heavy then i will call C63 's 3650lb is much heavier....
for a street car 997 is pretty light sounds like you dont really know enough about your own car

can't go fast without fuel.

I think a light weight car should be under 3000lbs, both the Cayman and Boxster are under 3000lbs, a Lotus Elise is well below that weight. Don't get me wrong, I think the 997 is a great car, and has plenty of power to get it going but it could be lighter. A 997 GT3 RSR is about 2600lbs, however will not meet the safety requirements that governments put upon car manufactures.

Driving fast and street racing are two different things, I don't street race!

I am pretty certain that I know quite a bit about my car, if you knew more you would know that a C63 has more power then a 997S can handle in a straight line (in fact there are many cars faster then a 997 in a straight line). If you put a C63 against a 997C2S where braking, cornering, and acceleration is required then the 997, will do the job.

finally you got point "Driving fast and street racing are two different things, I don't street race!" me either ~~

i just saw a C63 on open highway and we both give our ride a hit on the straight then you judge me as "street racing"???

of course i knew what C63's spec and it has way heavier front end (63:37 if i dont remember wrong) i knew C63 will go faster on the straight but i just want to know that how much faster it will go !
dont tell me that you never play around a bit with your car on the street.

by the way the 997s has pretty good power to weight ratio
even better than Cayman and Cayman S
do your math and you can tell

Cayman 245hp/2870lb = 8.53hp/100lb
Cayman S 295hp/3150lb = 9.36hp/100lb
997S 355hp/3250lb = 10.92hp/100lb

Exige S 220hp / 2030lb = 10.83hp/100lb

none of cars you were talked about has better power to weight ratio then 997s

997s is not the lightest car and it can be lighter for sure (thats why porsche has GT3 & GT3RS) but for the power group it falls i think it is a pretty light car. maybe for your standard only the Caterham CSR consider as a "light" car....
