New 997S First Impressions

Picked up my 997S Coupe w/X51 yesterday. It is awesome!!!

To give a little background, I have owned in order the following as pirmary drivers: 1990 M3 (7 yrs.), 1997 M3 (4 yrs.), 2001 S4 (2 yrs.) and a 2004 M3 (5 yrs.). There where a few other cars in there as secondary drivers.

First, the sport seats are by far the most confortable seats ever. The gear shift is the best in terms of feel of everything I owned (but not everything I have driven). The clutch makes me wonder why I put up with the clutch in the e46 M3 for so long. The AC is also the best since my e30 M3.

The dealership experience was the best in sometime as well. It was nice being treated as a respected client instead of a "sucker".

I have too few miles to really get into a comparison here, but I don't miss the e46 M3 at all. Someone here said I would find this to be true and they were absolutely right.

Thanks for indulging my rant as a new happy owner.

where did you get yours at, I have a few questions. I got mine Tuesday at Newport and there was no 3rd valet key and no metal tin box like I had with the Boxster. Did you get these items?

OC PCar, you should of got a valet plastic key and the metal tin box also. I'm almost certain it came with a metal tin box, but I will double check when I get home.

Another convert, who's hooked on the P' car. It's like the man who died in the saddle, it took a long time to wipe the grin off his face.
By the way certain manuals came in a tin box that did not fit in the simulated leather pouch.

When I got my 2008 C2S last October I got the metal tin box, but no third valet key.

I seem to recall being posted here or elsewhere PCNA no longer provides the third valet key.
