Yesterday I hit something and got a bubble in my PS2. Brought it in to dealer for replacement and had my first service done (1 month early) too. Total price for one 235/35/19 PS2, mounting, balancing, and first scheduled service was just under $750.

As long as the customer is happy that's all that counts.

Let's see now; 10 qts @ $30 per qt . . . . . . That seems about right.

We should be more concerned over motor oil prices than gasoline prices based on those rates.

thats called taking it in the a$$. I got the filter from the dealer $20, got the oil $6 p/qtx 9 = $54, did it in about 30 min. Total cost MUCH LESS THAN $300, Dude call around first, plus if there is any vehicle out there that the oil change can be done by an everyday person...this is it. Drive to NY next time and I'll do it for you

I'm not sure where I said I paid $300 for an oil change. I said for the first service, which as you know includes more than an oil change. Granted, it is mostly inspections, but it does take time. And by the way, I find it interesting how none of you account for labor or disposal in your do it yourself figures.
I thought this was interesting, as some people said they pay 800 - 1200 for this service. I'm not saying it's cheaper than doing it yourself, but when you factor in time and hassle, it's worth it to me. Personally, my time is worth something. To each his own.

Feels like I'm on Rennlist with all the critical responses to my post.

I live in SoCal. My first minor service (not just oil change) is only $230.
