I would choose the mobridge because it intergrates I pod and bt phone for $900. I have been told that the response time to pushing the buttons is somewhat delayed on the NavTV unit. This is not the case on the Mobridge. The operation of the phone and the ipod from the PCM is just like a factory option.

if you get the dension unit and dont have nav, will the interface still work through the cd/radio unit controls?

with the mobridge you can work the i pod through pcm or the i pod itself, but it is one or the other. If you set it up to be controlled by the i pod, then you lose the control by the pcm. I have always controlled the i pod through the pcm and never change the settings.

yes, you can control the denison with the cd/radio unit controls if you do not have nav or a pcm. denison's website might have more details.

you can also control the music by either the pcm interface or ipod/iphone. you can't use both at the same time, but it's a quick setting in the menu to switch b/n the two. i almost never use my iphone for music. just keep the usb stick plugged in. but i guess the ipod control would be useful for passengers.

is the installation any easier for one or the other (dension vs. mobridge)? Still suffering from analysis paralysis here. Dying without my music in the car...

Someone just tell me which one to buy!

The Dension with BTA is less than $800 on our Order page. And yes, the Dension GW500 will work with non PCM radios, but the current BT options will not. You can control the iPod from your head unit (pcm or non pcm). Email me with any questions.

I have the mobridge and it is awesome. The music sounds perfect, the system works great. I am not a salesman for mobridge, but for the price it is well worth it. Your getting blue tooth and i pod in one unit. Everything works through the PCM. If you dont have the PCM with the Nav screen, then I would go with an aftermarket unit that does it all. When I got the mobridge unit installed I was totally impressed with all the great aftermarket stuff that is available. With the right installer you would never know it is not factory. My wife has a Cayenne S and we are getting a mobridge for it as well. I am also going to install an aftermarket dvd player for the kid.

good luck with your decision

I bought my P-car used and came with the Nav-Tv unit....what a piece of crap!!!! Most the time it doesn't work. I've read on different forums of most people having same issues.
Now, mobridge vs Dennison. I have a iphone and have read here that some people have had issues with sound quality etc w/ Dennison. Can any one confirm or deny?
How about the mobridge? Same issues????? w/ the iphone??
Anyone done sirius sat radio as well?
Thanks for any help!!!

ok, i ordered the dension (without bluetooth), thanks eric--your order fulfillment is amazingly quick. My decision was based on the fact i could order online and also the self-install is pretty well documented here and at cayman club so we will see how it goes. It seems the mobridge is only available thru installers? anyway, the dension install seems pretty tame, and I didn't want to deal with a stereo shop touching my baby if i can avoid it...

Hope to put it in this weekend at the latest.

that is good to hear. Did you have to buy a different cable for it, or just use what came with the dension? On the bumperplugs site, i think they listed a different cable for iphones for $49 or so...

Hi everyone, sorry it has been a while, I have been occupied on a few other things lately and just now seem to have a break. I need some feedback on some revamped products from NavTv. These are the new ones that are fixed and have been updated in the past 2 weeks. I have tried one of each hooked up in a vehicle with no issues at all, however I have 2 of the iPod interfaces, 2 of the Bluetooth Tooki phone systems, and 2 of the Sirius Satellite interfaces.

What I need is a 3rd party verification that it works flawlessly, I can part with them at $350 each, offer a bit of tech service on the installation, but I need to get feedback and responses back.

Why am I doing this? Well obviously I am making no money, but I need to hear feedback. Every piece was redone, new software, the iPod units now have the Apple verification chips in it so it will do everything up to a Gen 6 iPod, with the exception of the iPhone which will come up in airplane mode

If you are interested please email me at james@northolmstedperformance.com and CC it to jbondox@***.net to ensure I get it if I am at home. PayPal would be the only trusted source for payment with these also.

Thanks,

Jim

Eric, can you post the installation instructions for D units? I read on other sites that is is very easy and on others it is difficult.
