Color question for 2009's.....

Outstanding -- looks great. Does daily wear and tear show too much? That's really my overriding concern. A definite plus for here in California is it'd ride a lot cooler.
Thanks for the pix.

You would have to special order seal . The problem is that at the launch of the 997 seal grey was plentiful . It even was the promotional choice color . Then (model year 07)Porsche discontinued it which makes a seal car look charateristic of an 05 or 06 .
Those are the reasons I would avoid seal . If I was going to special order a color I would pick one which has been out of production so long that its prsense would clearly reveal its exclusivity and style.

Gonna go with the Meteor. I really did love the Seal Grey on my previous 4S and Meteor is close enough. The other dilemma is interior -- black ages better, shows less dirt wear but I REALLY like the Sand Beige combo with the Meteor. I wonder if with attentive maintenance the S.B. is a wise choice across, say, three years.

The daily dirt does show a little like other similar colors but not like darker Pcar's. I did not want the arctic silver (too common) that I had on my Boxster. The Meteor Grey has more depth. The black, midnight blue, atlas grey and basalt black have even more depth but I don't want to become a slave to keeping the car washed as soon as a little dirt is seen.
The sand beige interior is different as it has more contrast than the black, blue or grey. I don't like the exterior and interior to look like one.
My 2 cents.

misha and all,
Aqua seems very similar to Cobalt (which it replaced). Anyone have pics side by side so we can do a comparison. Unfortunately, the porsche website does a horrible job with the colors as aqua looks NOTHING like this picture you posted. On the website it looks just like an aqua color - mix of blue and green.
Now, I know everyone has an opinion, but in the colors I am contemplating, what votes do you guys have:
Meteor (which I know is awesome as my previous 997S is in, but wanted a change)
Guards Red (which is definitely not that common)
White (which seems to be the new silver as everyone is ordering white on the turbo and gt3 forum and all the car mags love white to show the car)
Aqua blue (which is new for 2009 so you get the uniqueness factor)
GT silver (which has my least vote mostly because spending 3 grand on paint and not getting any increase in quality in the paint, is wasteful to me)
Thanks everyone.
