Nice car!
For whatever is worth, I bought an '06 Carrera S cab about a year ago, seal gray, very similar to the one you are looking at, with a little over 9000 miles, for $77K. Terrific car, I enjoy it on a regular basis. I was coming from an '01 987S.
I loved my 05 C2S Cab. The one you are looking at is nice, with low miles and the important options (Nav is a waste as is SC). I think you should be able to get it, or one like it, for low to mid 70s. One (06) sold here in OC a couple of months ago for around 78 but it only had 4500 miles, had RUF wheels, Nav, SC, and *** (as well as PSE like yours). You should be able to negotiate a lower price. Check prices elsewhere for similar options. You might even get an 07 for close to that price. People are hurting out there. You have the power in this market.

Thanks all. I still have to sell my '08 987S and I bought it from Brumos so if I trade it to them they'll probably sell it to me for $75k but not give me enough for mine. And selling on the open market is tough these days!

I wouldn't trade - you'll take a bath on your 08 Boxster S - dealers consistently amaze me with low-ball offers on trades of recent model year cars, even when traded on a car they've got in inventory.
The 08 Boxster S is capable of a decent amount more hp with plenum and chip - one of my buddies is pulling nearly 300 rhwp on his 08 Boxster S. The guys on the Cayman board are all over these mods.
In fact, the Boxster is most assuredly a better handling car, and with comparable hp and less weight, you're pretty close to even when it comes to acceleration. 50 hp difference between the Boxster and the 911 is really not very much at all.
Obviously I'm biased as I still miss my Boxster.
So to settle this expenditure in your own mind, drive them aggressively back-to-back, then make up your mind.

that price is too high for that car. I would look around before purchasing, and just as you say that its hard to sell on the market...the dealer is in the same boat, so with that being said do your research and find a better deal. Just for our knowledge, what are they offering for your car?
I bought my 06 in Nov 06 for 81(5500 miles). I think the price is too high. Keep looking. Of course mine did not have a cpo as the year was current and the miles were low.
Sticker on my '08 Boxster S was just under $61k (Red/Black, Cayman S wheels, Sport Wheel, Wind Deflector, Red gauges, and I added Red side grill, clear markers, and a few other small items) and I think they'd give me $50k - still a big loss for me on a trade since I just bought it 4+ months ago.
Maybe I'll try advertising it on some sites and then shop for a 997!

Nothing wrong with the Boxster S - great handling, power, etc. and it looks great as well; however, before I ordered it my first choice was a 997 and now I wish I would have gone with my first choice...I owned a 930 years ago and liked it.
And if anyone is looking for an almost new '08 Boxster S mine is worth a look.
