I misses it by a few hours it sold last week or so.
very nice looking car and the guy got a good deal ;(
I appreciate everyone's suggestions greatly. I think I found the car I want. I hope I'm not too late, but am in no terrific hurry in this economy. It has the Cermamic Break package and sport exhaust, nav, full leather, sports chrono, and more. The car's been tracked at least a couple of times. Just wondering, should I be worried about replacing the breaks (pads or rotors)? Also, how much do tires cost on a 05 997 911S? How often do they need replacing? The car also has heated seats, do these reduce driver feedback on such a car?
Thanks for sharing your experienced knowledge with me. Like I said before, this will be my first Porsche and I'm pretty excited/nervous at it.

1) Ceramic brakes aren't cheap . I had them on one car and never replaced anything at 9500 miles before I sold the car . Don;t let that be the big negative .
2) You don't have to use the heated seats . Women like them though --heats them up
.3) Rear tires go anywhere from 6K miles up to 13K depending on driving style and type of tire . Replacing the rears is the biggest expense --cost is about 1200 or so including alignment . Figure two sets of rears (maybe 3) to one set of fronts.
I think the advice to wait is wise- word is there are a lot of pcars coming available soon through the major auctions, and those prices should be lower than last time around. I can definitely see 05/06 S asking prices at or under 60k depending on miles / options. The ones currently for sale with the high $65k - $77k price tags will continue to do just that.. still be for sale. But I'm sure those dealers paid a lot for the cars so it's relative I guess.
Only time will tell though-
Only time will tell though-
go to the dealer tell them what you want and be specific and tell them when they can sell it to you for xxx hand them your number and leave. They're playing cards at the dealerships around me. I've been to mine 3 times this week only saw one other customer.
