I wasn't there, but I'm am going with Metro NY PCA in 2 weeks. I've been there twice this season - I really like that track, especially since it's been paved. Do you take any in-camera video?

I never take video, but last year a friend in a 2nd gen. RX7 took this video of me in front of him. I was in the blue Honda Civic Si.

I was on the pole for my class, and I won.
I was in the middle of a class of Mazda's.

See what you think:

BTW, the new track surface at Summit Point is breaking up in several turns, most notably in turns one and five.

Great driving! I'm glad to see your friend was able to bounce back from the initial bump. I haven't done any racing - that's a whole new level from DE.

I was there. Kind of a strange weekend. Seemed like there were more than 10 tow-in's. Parts of the track (T1, T5, T6) are in terrible conditions now. It's hard to believe they just repaved it a year ago. In fact, those turns are in such bad shape that I think it's a disgrace.

Yes, there were a lot of tow-ins and, on Saturday, one GT3 crashed heavily in Turn 5.
I was running in the Red group and there were some VERY fast cars in it.
I took two students out for rides, Ted & Dan.

I was there! Yes track was in terrible condition... not a fan of having to drive off-line to straddle the rumble strips...

Yikes. The conditions weren't this bad in March and April.

Not Off Line

I didn't drive off line. I found that driving the line through the rough pavement was still the fastest way around, and the rough stuff didn't really upset the car.

I've been going to Summit Point for MANY years and I know the folks there quite well.
I am certain they will fix these rough spots very soon. I'll find out for certain on July 21 & 22 as that is a Ferrari Club event that I will be instructing for.
After that event, I'll provide a report on the track conditions.
