So a Silver '06 997 Coupe with 9k miles (minimal options, sport exhaust) CPO at a dealer is listed for $69,900 - guessing they got for around $60k?

I'm about to push the trigger on a used 997S (05 or 06).
There's a couple out there with the ceramic breaks. Are these a liability issue or are such breaks well worth the money. (how much money will it cost to replace the pads/rotors when needed..just wondering?)

Thank you for your help.

But I really prefer white and it seems to be more rare. Is that justification for the $78k asking price tho? Is it realistic to get these guys down to the low $60's?? Both are at different Porsche dealerships. Thanks for any help!!

both are priced 10k too high. look elsewhere

My general price points for C2S'
2005 - $52K (less than 30k miles - gotta be CPO)
2006 - $63K (less than 20k miles - if 2 years left on warranty, skip CPO)
2007 - $70K (less than 10k miles)
2008 - $79-81K (brand new)

It's crazy that dealers are asking $78K for a 'three year' old car. You can buy a 'new' one for 10% off MSRP which puts a well equipped 2008 C2S in your driveway for about $81K.

That being said I have noticed a very slight drop in prices at a dealership in Texas. Some of these places are in denial about the economy, gas, new 09's etc. My strategy is to wait a couple of months and see where prices go - down I would imagine.

I think if you really like the white one I'd try to get it for 65K- that means offer 63K :-). Just remember some wise words I read on here. Make your offer, tell them you'll be looking for a car and to call you in a month if it's still for sale - you'll take it then if you haven't bought something yet..

^^Appreciate the insight, but LOOOL. I got my 05 C2S, with Nav, chrono, leather seats, bose etc for $57k. Clean. I will buy another one as well if you can point me in the right direction.

What's happened at this time has happened before . The dealerships have so few 08's in stock most of which are heavily optioned .

The impatient or the person who really needs a car will pay a little more on the used market but still get a great car . When the new cars arrive some will trade in cars . At first the current high price range will hold but after about a month when dealerships have a lot of used cars then the bargains will be found .

Right now .. the biggest bargain is on the Turbo . 105 t0 110K for a car with under 10K miles which cost 140 and 150K new . That's a bargain and that will change too in the future .

Thumbs up

Here's a deal on 2006 C2S at a dealer that is CPO.

30k miles, CPO, $63K, Tip (argh) .. limited options but there are some deals out there and I think they will get better.

...and another with 8K miles for $66K

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...9&rdpage=thumb

Or a 2005 C2S with 23k miles (no CPO) for $56k

Also saw some 2007 C2's at dealers for mid 60's.

Do either of these cars have "big money" options? PCCB's? Aero Kit? etc? If not, i think they are WAY high...and even if they do they are still a lil high.

I paid $69,xxx for my car in March....had 22k miles....but it has TONS of options (original MSRP was $112,000) and i thought that was a good deal at the time.

Take that for what its worth...
