Parking Jungle!!
I hate to say it guys, but even if it is a Porsche, it is only a car. I have had six of them, and I am not willing to park at the far end of a lot, or take 2 spaces, or be too paranoid about where I leave it. I do try to be careful and not park in real tight spaces, but I want to drive my Porsche, not some beater, or even a nice DD. So I do have a few dings, and scratches, etc. but life goes on and I get to enjoy my car alot without making going out to difficult an experience. So I say, let it go and enjoy your cars.
I should add that the worst dents and scratches I have are from my kids bicyles in the garage, but I don't think I can get rid of the kids, so it goes.

My wife and I both drive newer Porsches. We only take them to places we know we will have safe parking and then park at the end on an end cap. We have a beater SUV for the market and movies etc. and we can park it right up front next to the cart corral. It can make you crazy worrying about other careless people but I try not to think about it too much. It can ruin a good time. I think eventually we all get a ding or two.
I was sitting downtown in San Diego one evening and watched a car kiss another's bumper twice before he gave up. My friend commented that's how you park around here.

That's funny, a Porsche dinging another Porsche. I would not feel bad about it unless a Hyundai had dinged your Porsche, now that would pissed the hell out of me.
I think I will still be pissed even if an Enzo ding my 997....
After owning numerous different cars like everyone here, it doesn't matter if its a $5k POS or $200k car, it sucks real bad when an inconsiderate idiot SWINGS open their door right smack into yours. I believe in karma and its a *****. If its gonna happen it will, regardless of what you do or where you park. Because of this, even when I open my pcar door parked next to a vehicle, I use caution and try not to power swing the door open because most people do the same. Having said that, I try to nail that primo parking spot everywhere I go. At the same time I avoid tight spots (if you park there you are asking for it) or near solid steel road sleds with 1 ton doors.
Don't stress about it and enjoy your pcar every chance you get. All of the cars I have owned I treated them all with same philosophy and TLC upkeep. All of them either only had minor dings (maybe 1 or at most 2) or unplanned accidents
. My current C2S has 1 door ding behind driver's door compliments of my wife's Q7 while parked in my garage at home (see, you can't hide from it).
Anyway, yeah its a$100k car, but its only a car and good news is it can be fixed.
