RIMS - what to look for when purchasing?
RIMS - what to look for when purchasing?
In short, are all RIMS created equal?
I'm pondering putting different RIMS on my new 2008 911S Cab - has the standard 911 19" RIMS with Michelins. Love the Michelins but think the car could look a bit better with a different set of RIM.
I finding the price of RIMs to be all over the place and have no way to define what is quality verse less than quality. Many different manufacturers and models.
Plan to stick with 19" wheels, unless there is compelling reasons to go larger - this is a car that will never see the track - just enjoying driving it on the highway!
Input appreciated regarding best manufacturers and models for a 2008 911S Cab Meteor Gray, black top and sand beige interior.
Thanks,
Jack

Jack,
Take your time and do your homework. There are some great manufacturers and there are those who think they are.
Check this site to see what members are using.
Be independent and make a good choice. You will be glad you did.
Oh, and BTW, stay with 19's. Anything larger gets to be a bicyle tire and you'll be replacing rims monthly!

After putting this post up, and wondering why I was not hearing much in the way of feedback, I found the Tires forum on this site. Have posted this question there hoping to get more response.
Any way to delete this one so I'm not confusing folks?
Jack
