PSS 10 vs Stock

Hi All,

I do not have experience of PSS10.
Anyone can give some thoughts and suggestions?
Is it a 10 times better set up and 10 times better handling?

thank you

I don't know anyone who doesn't love them vs. stock. But of course, this assumes you bought the car to drive it like a Porsche and not like a Lexus..

Personally, that is the first thing I would upgrade on an S- the suspension. Whether it is PSS10 or KWv3's, it will perform much better than stock.

Crazy to think that people are spending so much money for a car that is known for handling, but yet the first mod should be suspension??

The guys on the Turbo forum love them but I chose Techart only to retain consistency with my aerokit . From what i've read the ride height is adjustable with the PSS10 to bring a car back to stock or dial in as desired. As well many posted that its pricing was reasonable .

That's exactly what I thought at first, but now I know that the handling can be even better.

For me the ride quality is better. The car is less floaty. The rebound and damping are far superior than stock shocks, giving more feedback without being bouncey on the normal setting. The firm setting only comes out at the track now.

With out a doubt, if I can only have one mod it would be the Coil Over suspension. The Damptronics works very well with the PASM computer.

Whenever mods are requested or thought of the first question usually is whether it's worth it and whether it makes a difference.

I have realized that regardless of the make every vehicle can be improved to some degree. And while Porsche is known for such roadability, there are suspension improvements that can be made.

Ferrari is known for its fantastic roadability, but the front springs need a little boost to prevent the F/E from scraping high spots at speed. The down force makes this happen. Since Ferrari makes the car for the average driver and it is good, there is no reason why it cannot be improved.

It seems that suspensin mods makes the greatest difference, but I think that would depend upon one's expectations.

So, Cephas, I think you should evaluate what you would like to achieve and then ride in/drive a version similar to yours that has been modded. That would answer a few questions.

I do not think that anyone can give you an honest answer as to a # but I have read comments of those that have used the PSS10's and they seem very pleased.

so there is no down side about it...?!

The reason I came out with the thought of the PSS 10 is because after few months of driving, the normal mode of the car is pretty floaty for me, so I put in sport mode most of the time. But you know the freeways in South Cal are not nice, and I feel annoyed after awhile....
So is PSS 10 is the solution?
I will also bring the car to autox or track soon, so I think it is a good upgrade for me.
Also, is it hard to change the height of the car after installation?

the question i'm having a hard time answering is whether my normal ride, which is "floaty" to some, will be harsh.

very subjective i'm sure. the track ride is great by all accounts i've seen.

It is easy to change, but you should do an alignment when you change the settings. If you have PASM, then Damtronics are the answer, if you don't have the PASM, then PSS10's are a good solution. The CO's will improve the light front end and the "floaty" feeling.

Another advantage to installing the Bilstein's is they have a lifetime warranty instead of the 4 years that Porsche has.

This is this a pun, right?
