+1 on that. I want to learn how to drive my car properly. Push it to its limits. Spending 100k plus on a vehicle and driving it like a Scion is a complete waste (by the way I have one).

Car Clubs are usually different from region to region, I would suggest that you contact both and see what they are all about. You may even find that both clubs are worth joining.

PCA sends out a great magazine every month with your paid membership. I will say the PCA-CWR region is a great group of people.

IMHO . . . . POC is mostly race oriented; they hold time trails and race events. PCA is more of an overall Porsche enthusiast club; they hold social events, concours, auto cross, general Porsche education events, driver education events, etc.

If you're in the OC area of California the Orange Coast Region of PCA is probably the most active region (along w/ San Diego) I've come across. They run Auto Cross events on a monthly basis at the old El Toro Air Base and TT & DE at Willow Springs 2 to 3 times a year. They have monthly breakfast meetings (ie. Porsche get togethers) and countless other events.

The PCA publishes a nice monthly mag and most dealers or aftermarket parts houses offer some sort of PCA discount. PCA has a nice web site for Porsche technical information, want ads, for sale ads, etc.

When you sign up w/ the PCA you specify a region you want to be affilliated with. The have many, many regions scattered all across the US.

THIS IS A NON PAID COMMERICAL FOR THE PCA.

Yeah, great magazine. This months issue is telling me the new Carrera and Carrera S engine has 32 valves, but doesn't explain how that's possible.
