M3 Cab w/ DCT vs. 997S Cab 6 spd
There's a few guys that own both, and they all say that the new e92 m3 coupe is dead even with the 997s mk1 in a straight until 120mph. After 120mph, the m3 walks the Carrera S.
It makes sense if you look at the 0-200km/h measures in the Euro mags.
Now the new 2009 997S mk2 is a different story. It's a full second and then some ahead of the m3 in 0-200km/h measures. But who knows what happens after 125+mph. I'm curious to see a video of this once it's available.
These are fun comparisons, but the m3 is no 911 and vice versa. If I was in the market for a sports sedan, it would be between the m5 or the c63 amg. Heck, I think I'd even go for the IS-F before I'd buy the m3 sedan, but that's just me.
