As some of you may know, I've been looking for a Porsche for a while and finally closed the deal today. I just wanted to say I had a great experience w/ Parin @ Chicago Motor Sports.

I originally contacted him after another 6speeder referred me to LSM's thread (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...important.html) and pointed out CMC had a car that fit my parameters. I decided to check it out and unfortunately it had already been sold.

But on the spot Parin checked out Manheim online vehicle exchange (the wholsale eBay Motors for dealers) and found a car for me that had the requisite color/options/price.

After 2-3 hours or so worth of calls getting details, negotiating the price, and calling contacts to get dealer references, I bought the car at an attractive price. And on top of this, he offered to help me get a discount on the parts I needed to get the car in 6speed condition.

And for all of his trouble, he didn't want a dime! He just wanted me to bring him my business in the future, and I definitely will. I have no idea if I got a "great deal," since only time will tell, but I do know he was on my side through the entire process and was happy to make me happy.

So for any of you looking to buy a car, I would recommend you give him a call. If you're interested in a car he has, he'll be more than honest about its condition, and if it requires a search, you can know he's not out to screw you like every other stealership.

well, i am waiting to hear back from him. I spoke to him for consignment of my car = but since then I have not been able to get a hold of him.

I also contacting him after the LSM good reference thread.

 

I would be a little persistent. Given the volume he's trading/buying/selling, things can get a little lost in the cracks over there. That being said, whenever I did get a hold of him, he was quite responsive.
