Exclamation Ripped Off by >>> ABSOLUTE MOTORING & Tomas Prado<<<

Hello members,

I know this is not a very nice first post but this is how it came down to. I am a proud owner of a collection of cars... I own a 997 S and a Cooper JCW S and a H2 ... some more few cars and bikes here and there also .

I would like to say first that it really annoys me that this issue comes down to this. I have purchased items before from Tomas Prado with no issues at all, but a couple of months ago I bought a set of wheels and sent them to Absolute Motoring to get them painted and mount new tires and in the process I purchased a wheel and lowering springs for another car. Money was sent and all is good, mind you I am not local to Absolute Motoring, but the last update on the situation I get from Tomas Prado was more than a month ago and stating that the wheels and items will ship in a weeks time.

I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt and waited. A week then two then three weeks passed as I called and e-mailed constantly, but there was no reply what so ever. It's like the guy vanished. I know Tomas or someone from Absolute Motoring has been active on this forum and was hoping that they see this and rectify this problem, otherwise, I say take a note and don't fall in my place and deal with this guy or get ripped off by the company like what happened to me.

Again, sorry to have this as my first post and hope that no one gets in this situation, ever.

Tomas, if you are reading this, then I hope you step up and answer my calls or e-mails at the very least.

regards,

Jay

It always pains me when it comes down to this with a vendor- Hopefully you paid for this on a CC and can just charge it back? Is there only one person to contact at the business?

G/L and hope it does work out

I wish it was as easy as that, really. first of all, he's got my wheels that I got from some where else. Second, it was a wire transfer as out of US CCs are not accepted. I normally use PP but he doesn't have an account, in any case, I I dealt with him before in the same fashion with no issues at all

Jay,

Sorry about your situation.

In this day of communication, sending an email or a phone call is so easy that even a 3 or 4 y.o. kid can do it. There is absolutely no excuse that the seller didn't communicate back to you.

This is inaccurate.

I accept CC's from all over the world.

If you were asked to send $ it's because the business may no longer have financially qualified to accept CC's.

Where is absolute motoring?

Maybe I was unclear, non US CCs are not accepted unless you are present at the location of purchase with your card in your hand. I tried this so many time that I can tell you straight now I can call your shop now and buy a gum or whatever... give you the CC# and it would be declined. Unless the buyer is there and the card is swiped, then it will not work. Believe me I know, I got four cars and a Hog and order parts all the time... never worked that I called a shop from here and gave the CC and went through (my bank confirms this information that it is due to raised security measures in the US to over seas transactions), it does not work over the internet too , hence the paypal solution to charge from south east Asia or the UK.

Anyway... can I get my wheels back now... please

Again this is in error. I am telling this from daily experience! I will not publically state how it's done, but do it every day. Just did for a shipment to Sweden!

If the business is solvent and has a good banking relationship it is not an issue. If the business is not solvent then the CC processor will not accept the liability.

So this should tell you something about the business with whom you dealt, and based upon your inability to get communication or your wheels it's a definite confirmation of what I stated.

I hope you get your wheels.

Did you ever say where this business is located?
