My Bodywork **pics**
Hey everyone,
Well a few weeks ago some ******* threw a brick at my car which landed on the rear driver side quarter leaving a few deep dents and broke the tailight. I spent about 3 days from start to finish and I am very pleased with the way it came out. Thanks to the Suncoast Porsche crew who got me the tailight ASAP and much cheaper than anyone else could have. Also because my tailights are painted i had to sand the pass side down to the original lens color and then spray them both again. I am very pleased with the way it turned out.

How much of that 3 days was spent hammering shaping the metal bodywork back into a smooth shape?
How much area was then repainted?
Would like to know exactly what was done to rework the metal. It appears pounded out. Was it done from the underside of the fender ? Did you use a finishing material to get to a paintable surface ? Look's to have come out like new. Nice job.
Hey thanks for all the sincere words guys.
As far as the workmanship and what was done, tap welded some rivets and pulled it out that way, then when it was fully out, tapped it back to "as best as possible" condition, used a metallic overcoat putty polimer, which dries super fast. Sanded down to get perfect dimensions and then paint. I painted the rear quarter to about the a pillar on the driver side, blending. The difference maker is the time spent hammering away as well as the final touches wet sanding to get the perfect reflection. I really am pleased with the results and appreciate all the kind words
