I got the mic from www.soundprofessionals.com. They have a mini omnidirectional microphone that you can order. Just make sure to order it with the right connector. I got it without the windscreen. It is very tiny (about 1/3 the size of a dime), but sounds just as good as the one that came with the Tooki kit if not better. it's pretty much invisible when installed.

i noticed on the steering column there's a mesh insert on the corners, anyone know if there is a factory mic already installed there? if so, would it be possible hook that up to any of the units for cleanest install?

or would it be possible to install a mic in the mesh inserts if it's not factory pre-installed?

Yes. I tried the Tooki mic in the factory location but it worked better outside of that location.

The factory mic would probably be there if you have the factory phone, otherwise it is not there in my experience.

Not a clue. I would suggest you ask the folks at Nav-TV.

Thanks for the reply, could I ask you to give me a manufacturer name, part number, or model number for the mic you used. Many thanks in advance!

We actually have quite a few thousand Bluetooth modules worldwide now across Porsche and Mercedes vehicles all working very nicely and actually being fitted by quite a few OEM Porsche dealers worldwide. BMW is about to be launched in 2 weeks now also. The online community represents about 10% of vehicle owners but rest assured there are thousands out there working exceptionally well.

cheers,

Unfortunately the CDR units lack the necessary phone interface on MOST to be able to implement the Bluetooth. You would be better getting something like a Parrot CK3100 interface for these radios.

You could run it but you would need to be listening to the CDC when the phone was ringing or when you wanted to make a call.

Kind regards,

mObridge

I have a 2008 911 with nav, the Bose and six CD changer. Does mobridge take the place or affect operation of the CD changer? Are there dealers in Maryland/DC metro area who can install?
