I heard from a well placed source they are coming out with paddles in 2010. That would be nice.

Hi Gomez,
I noticed you have full AWE exhaust system, that is what I want. However I am not able to tell how it sounds like from YouTube. Can you tell me if it sounds solid or sounds like 'blup blup' ?
Much thanks !

It's the best system out there no doubt. Some people like other systems but after reading and studying a ton of forum threads on the subject I went with AWE because it far and away had more votes than any other system. It sounds amazing and makes your car that much more "zippy". I love it.

And now back to paddles!

The key word is RACING. In racing, shaving time is more important than providing pleasure to the driver. On a ROAD car, where there is no need to get to the finish line first, fun should be more important than shaving time

Air Cooled/ Water cooled, ABS, etc are reliability, emissions, and safety technologies, they do not necessarily change the interaction between driver and car like paddle shifters

While technology may have helped improve performance so you can measurebate to your friends about how fast your car is, it has done little to make the driving experience any better (reliability aside) or more fun.
In my experience, the less technology the more fun the car is to drive.

Every time I drive a car with paddle shifters I quickly get bored with it and end up just putting it into automatic mode, yawn

I would like to have PDK for DE's. It would certainly make me a smoother driver and therefore a quicker driver.

Because it's quicker shifting.

Also, PDK isn't used in their racing cars. It's a sequential box going up and you use the clutch going down in the gears. Also, 962's didn't have a PDK type transmission either.
