Plenumn's are a source of a lot of controversy on this forum.

PSE Hacks are a cheap noise making solution

If I were to do my mods again, I would start with the Bilstein Damptronic CO's, then a set AWE Cats and Headers. Then some of the other stuff if you are interested in tracking your car.

I don't have a chip, but a lot of people like the Softronic

Welcome to the 997's

Arzo is infamous around these parts
Softronic worked great for me. I have TechArt race exhaust. Loud but sounds great. I took advice from this board and Dan at Vivid and bought Bilstein Damptronics (install next week). Wheels are a nice mod (went with HRE's) and they save quite a bit of unsprung weight. Aerokit? I posted a gallery with some of my mods a few weeks ago, but there are alot of options. Here they are again:

Allow me to be your performance concierge.

Congrats on the new car.

Here is our recommendation:

1. A.W.E. Tuning full exhaust. Headers, Mufflers, 200 cell HJS Catalysts.

2. G.I.A.C. software.

http://awe-tuning.com/pages/shared/p...IL=GIAC997Chip

3. Bilstein suspension and H&R swaybars.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello,

We are located in CT . I travel up in your area often so I could always personally flash your car if you like etc. and explain it all better and make adjustments on the fly for you. Should you want to stop in and take a look at 10 or so race engines being built and 30 or so other Porsches that would be great also. Just give me a call . 203-723-8928

Now as far as the exhaust, AWE, Fabspeed make great products. I regularly use both on cars that I tune.

Best,
Scott Slauson

Best mod you can do is to yourself. Do some DE. It will improve your performance more than any mechanical mods.

Thumbs up

+1 on Driver training. It is the best money you can spend to get the performance out of your car. Once track porficient you can tune the car to meet your driving style.
Enjoy the new car.

I will also agree with the other two members on going to a DE or improving ones driving skills. I have personally seen the same car on a driving course go from the back of the pack to the front by just the difference in the driving skills of them.

Best,

Mods

None needed. Already well engineered for the non-professional driver--hee, hee.

Absolutely, I have done 11 DE's this year, and have roughly done 1600KM (1000 miles) on the track at those DE's. I have 2 Days back to back this week, and think I will do another 600 - 700 Km (375- 450 miles).

I will say I am better then the average driver, but far from a pro. The mods that I have done make my car significantly faster and I enjoy the track time even more then when the car was stock.

Sport shifter, (agency power or B&M) if you dont already have it.
Evo sport air intake
Headers of your choice
Exhaust of your choice
I did them all myself. Pretty easy. Really brings the car to life.
