I like the lobster claws better.

In fact after test driving the 997.2 I will not be in any hurry to get rid of my 2006. With the mods I have made to mine it is just as quick if not quicker.

after 04

after 04 porsche wheel styles went in the gutter......did you see the 18's they allow the new 997.2 to role off the show room floor with. Nonesense, base model or not its still a carerra and still someone paid 70+K for that car. Porsche needs to get their act together in the wheel dept badly..... even the new 19's on the 997.2 look like some dated AC Scnitzer wheel or something, just BAD. I like the turbo twist, sport techno's of years past so much better then the wheels of today.

+1. I too like the lobster claws. They fail miserably on the 'easy to clean' factor, but they're different, look very cool and solid.
I had the good fortune of getting a tour of the 911 manufacturing plant in Stuttgart a week back (check my blog in a few days - I have pix of the museum but but no pix allowed of the assembly line) and the new .2's were fabulous - except for the wheels. They seems like a partial throwback to the silly putty designs of the 996's.

Do you have to go to the dealer for GT3 RS wheels? How much do they usually run?

I bought them at my dealer, they gave me $200 each for the stock rims and it was $3,800 out of pocket installed.

Just bought these this am. RUF KNOCKOFFS. 19 x 8.5 50 ET Fronts and 19 x 11 67 ET Rears. I love the RUF look and looked into a new set but the price of new Authentics are WAY more than I want to spend for rims.

I had a set of knockoffs before and knew guys with them and I NEVER had a problem with them and no one else has either. I will keep my Lobsters and have these. Cant wait to put them on the car.
