Buh-bye Aston Martin Vantage, Hello Carrera 997.2
Hi Guys-
Picked up this Carrara white 997.2 C2 coupe from Rector here in the Bay area. Funny thing was that I thought I'd just "stop by" the Porsche dealer to check out the new 911s, and ended up driving one away. First P-Car for me, but probably not my last. I would have preferred to pick up an S coupe, but they only had a S convertible, which was not really on my radar. I drove both, and to be honest, the power gains of the S model were not very noticeable. PDK is amazing. Smooth quick shifts, seems like a beefed up DSG.
I was hammered on my 2006 AM V8 trade-in, but the truth is that I was a bit relieved to get rid of it. Just had the 10k service, and the thought of spending thousands to ten thousand over the next year scared the heck out of me.
Tomorrow my new baby goes in for clear-bra and tints, followed by a Passport 9500ci install the next day. I plan on adding the new iPod/Bluetooth unit as well as the Navi module when they become available, but not sure what else to do for the time being.

Congrats!!!! Is this a white, or cream white? Those are the two colors I would choose if I were to get an 09. But I yet have to see the cream white in person. Funny thing is I been thinking of the Vantage for a while, but after reading about all the issues on the forum, I am sticking to my c2s, and looking forward to get a c4s at some point. I do love the design of the vantage. But I have zero problems with my c2s for the past 3 years.

Welcome to the family. I would think most car enthusiasts would go p-car to aston or f-car. Nice to see ya going the other way around. White is hawt and no worries about the s. You can trade up to that when the 991 comes out in 2010 lolz.
