Sold CS few months back, Test drove 911 PDK with SC

Sold Cayman S few months back, Test drove 911 PDK with SC- Nice

1) Had a CS and it was amazing handler but got tired of
A) 6 speed manual in traffic - I like dual clutches better- personal preference
B) Claustorbic feel due to no space behind seats
C) less grunt/power

Got a chance to test drive new 911 with pDK and Sport chrono in Sport mode

The PDK in sport is so well done and engine power, torque and grunt are spot on in the new 911 base
1) Loved the 911 handling, I am not an expert but 911 with engine at back felt stable, special and responsive- The smile factor was huge and ofcourse CS had made me smile but 911 is more fun IMHO
2) The 911 felt more special than CS
3) The touch screen looks very nice and rear led's are slick
4) The PDk wheel is thick with a feel good factor
5) One gets used to PDK switches in a few hours, I had no problems . The PDK in sport mode is awesome and may not require M mode always. THE PDK shifts are super fast, PDK is more responsive than BMW m3 DCT
6) The sunroof was a treat too

May consider getting the new 911

You don't need to drive the new 997 to get the smile on your face, I get one everytime I drive mine.

Not interested in PDK in my Garage, but it seems as if it is better then the competitors dual clutch transmission.

It is a beautiful car. I've not driven one but have taken a close/long look at them. Quite an evolutionary upgrade to the .1.
OTOH, the CS (as you refer to it) is fundamentally an amazing car. Nothing can be done about the claustrophobic feeling of a mid-engine car. But that same mid-engine (versus rear) makes for a far better handling experience. A CS with power really does seem like the ultimate weapon. Those folks that do engine swaps or superchargers add-on should be getting far more business. I've been astonished how good the CS is in comparison to the 911.
I love my 997S, but secretly I know that the CS is a better sports car. (Flame away boys).
Oh, and when I want to feel claustrophobic and fast, I drive the car in the photo.

I've test drove the 997.2 as well and love the Launch Control. It's amazingly fast!
