What is a fare price of a 2006 carrera C2 (27,000mi) with options (xenon, sunroof, 19+premium wheels, heated seats, bose)....think the dealer is trying to screw me, he's saying the car is worth 46,500?!?!....is that about right?!?! What do you guys think?? Also, I am buying another car from him (dealer).

Hey Chris, never trade in at a stealership! They aren't in business to make friends. They are in business to make money. That car should be selling "private party" from $55k to $60K, and retail for around $65k. They will easily flip the car from you and clear $10k with a trade in. Do yourself a favor and go list on ebay, auto trader or craigslist and be patient. That car can easily be sold for $55k anywhere.

 

I agree. You're better off trying to sell it on ebay, autotrader, or craigslist for 55k.

Seriously, you could sell your car to CarMax straightout and they would give you more than that...

You could always get the dealer to knock $10k off the price of his car, that way it's a wash.

My dealer just offered me $48k ($49k if i was serious about it) for my 2005 C2 Cab / Tiptronic S with 21k miles. I paid $57.5k just 6 weeks ago and i thought that was a good deal! They really try to rape you on the trade in....

 

tell me about it! finally talked some sense into those a$$holes got rid of mine for $50k, the tax w/the trade-in softened the blow.
